8 tips to make your property photogenic

Are you going to sell/rent your house/apartment soon? Don't forget that beautiful pictures are extremely important for a good first impression of the property. Even if you engage a professional photographer, it is necessary to prepare in advance so that your home is as photogenic as possible. A messy house will still look messy with the best photographer. Here are 8 tips to make your home 'photoproof'!

1. An obvious, but very important tip! Dust off, remove cobwebs in the corners, vacuum, clean, mop, etc. so that your home looks immaculate!

2. Keep the entrance hall airy. Here you immediately make a first impression. Limit the number of coats and shoes. An overcrowded entrance immediately gives the feeling that there is not enough storage space.

3. Open the curtains and raise the shutters to allow maximum light access. Are there still old-fashioned curtains? If necessary, replace these with simple neutral curtains or just don't hang one.

4. Put away personal items, such as family photos and travel souvenirs.

5. Hide loose items as much as possible in baskets or crates, so that they can be moved quickly. Think of the remote controls, paper, mail, magazines, clothing and toys, ...

6. Also temporarily remove trash cans, cables, benches, (door) mats, litter boxes and other accessories.

7. Go for a minimal design. Be critical. Is there a large one-seater that makes the space smaller? Then store these in the garage or with family.

8. Buy fresh, colorful fruit and / or flowers for a homely feel. This looks fresh on the image.
