According to the asbestos removal private law, as a property owner you may remove some asbestos applications yourself or by a contractor who is trained to do simple operations.
Loose-laid asbestos or in other words non-fixed asbestos you may not remove yourself. For this you must engage a licensed asbestos removal contractor. When they have removed everything, you can have an asbestos removal certificate drawn up or a blank asbestos inventory.
Strictly speaking, it is not compulsory to remove asbestos that is not damaged or exposed, but according to the asbestos removal legislation for private individuals, it is recommended that asbestos fibers that are released are harmful to health. It is therefore recommended to avoid an asbestos removal certificate.
